Within the Scope of the Working Visit to Kharkiv Region, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, attended the Opening of the Territorial Office of the Accounting Chamber in charge of Kharkiv, Sumy and Poltava Regions
"Today´s event testifies that we understand the need of boosting our efforts to strengthen the financial control in the country", - stated V.Lytvyn in his speech.
The Head of the Parliament stated that annual reports of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine acknowledged the importance of its activity as "an independent auditor".
As the Accounting Chamber is formed by The Verkhovna Rada, "it has all the grounds to stay independent and unbiased". He also stressed that the authorities shall adequately respond to the results of its work.
